Sukumar was always regarded as one of the most talented filmmakers in Telugu cinema. However, he did not have the desired commercial success to be considered for the elite league of film makers in Tollywood.
After tipping the scales in his favour after Rangasthalam, Sukumar has completely changed his game. He has gone from a sensible and calculated filmmaker to a mass masala Director with these two parts of Pushpa.

If we look at these two parts of Pushpa, it is very clear that Sukumar has undergone a mass makeover and he has attained the pulse of the masses. Once this film touches rupees thousand crore gross and beyond, Sukumar will officially be considered as the number two film maker in Telugu Cinema after SS Rajamouli.
What this also means is that Sukumar has grossly enhanced his market, and he is next only to Rajamouli when it comes to box office potential and commercial film making. From being a niche filmmaker a few years ago to becoming an elite league filmmaker today, Sukumar really has come a long way here.
Sukumar is working with Ram Charan for his next film and if this also works the trick at the box office then sky is the limit for him henceforth.
