Tollywood Summer 2025: What To Expect?

We are well and truly into 2025, as we are approaching halfway through February already. The Sankranti season was rather a mixed bag with only one film being able to generate substantial revenues, and that is Sankranthi Ki Vasthunnam.

Coming to the topic now, the discussion has started about the forthcoming summer season already and here is a look into the titles that are on offer.

The season will obviously start with Robin Hood and Mad 2 which are releasing on March 28, and 29, respectively. Both the films are entertainers, which are aimed at the summer season audiences.

Then we have Siddhu Jonnalagadda, arriving on April 10, with his upcoming film, Jack. Again, this also appears to be a summer season entertainer, which primarily caters to the younger generation of audience.

We have the first pan Indian film of this Sankranti season in the form of Kannappa, which is releasing on April 25. The presence of Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal and others has given this film a true pan Indian appeal already.

Nani’s HIT 3 is arriving on May 1 and this is a considerable title this summer. It is a crime thriller.

The month of May will be closed out with Kingdom which features Vijay Deverakonda in the central role. This film promises to be a proper mass commercial film with a fresh kind of filmmaking.

We have Chiranjeevi’s Viswambhara and Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu which are operating with non conclusive release dates and they’re also likely to be released sooner than later. It had to be seen where they will line up in this summer slate of films.
