By: Tupaki Desk | 2 Feb 2026 11:08 AM ISTGenerally, the summer season is regarded as one of the finest passages for Telugu cinema and we see astonishing number of films arriving at the ticket counters during this period.
And now we have a lot of confusion happening surrounding the upcoming summer season releases as multiple films that are officially announced at banking down while new films are joining the race.
There is growing confusion in the film trade about the release plans of Peddi and The Paradise. It is now widely understood among distributors that both films will not be releasing in March as earlier expected. Despite this clarity at the distribution level, the makers have still not made an official announcement, which is raising questions within the industry.
This silence is beginning to affect other projects as well. The team behind UBS has not announced its release date yet, mainly because they are waiting for clarity on Peddi. Since the same production house has a minor financial stake in Peddi, the delay in communication is indirectly holding up decisions for UBS too.
From the outside, this situation looks avoidable. A clear statement could have helped distributors plan better and allowed other films to move forward with confidence.
At the same time, there may be internal reasons for the delay. The producers could still be discussing a new release window, sorting out post production timelines, or aligning with multiple partners before going public.
While these reasons may be valid, the lack of official communication is creating unnecessary uncertainty. An announcement is expected sooner or later, but until then, the delay continues to affect planning across the board.
