The casting process for Mani Ratnam's directorial masterpiece has reached its final stages, and it's rumored that popular stars Dulquer Salmaan, Trisha Krishnan, and Jayam Ravi might join the star-studded ensemble. Despite the considerable star power, the surprising news is that Director Mani Ratnam has an ambitious plan to complete the shooting of Kamal Haasan's film within just 5 months.

Traditionally, Mani Ratnam is known for meticulous pre-production work, which sometimes extends the time before going into production. However, once the cameras start rolling, he's known to swiftly wrap up filming. Notably, even a grand-scale project like "Ponniyin Selvan," consisting of two parts, was completed within a mere 150 working days. Now, the upcoming Kamal Haasan film is following a similar trajectory. The film's promotional activities are scheduled for Kamal Haasan's birthday, and principal photography will commence in December with the rest of the cast and crew. Kamal Haasan himself is set to join the shoot in January, and the entire project is expected to conclude by April 2024.
