Suriya got emotional while speaking at the pre-release event of Viswanath & Sons. The Tamil star spoke warmly about his long connection with Telugu audiences and also praised director Venky Atluri for his writing and sincerity. He said that the love he has received from Telugu people for the last 28 years is something he can never forget.

Suriya said his bond with the Telugu audience has always been special. He recalled how people have supported him and his films over the years. He also said that Telugu audiences treated him and his family with great affection.

Speaking about director Venky Atluri, Suriya revealed an interesting story. He said that he decided to work with Venky after watching Lucky Baskhar. "After Lucky Baskhar, I decided that whatever script he brings next, I would say okay, because I was manifesting to work with him."

Suriya then explained how the opportunity to work on Viswanath & Sons came to him. "Then Vamsi Garu called me and said he had Venky’s dates. That was a different biopic story altogether." Although they initially planned a biopic, the project later changed into Viswanath & Sons.

Suriya said he enjoyed every moment of working on the film. He especially praised Venky Atluri's writing and dedication. He also revealed that he would like to work with the director again in the future. According to Suriya, the movie has strong human emotions and beautiful relationships.

Suriya recalled the love he received for Suriya S/O Krishnan and requested Telugu audiences to show the same love for Viswanath & Sons. He also praised the female characters in the film and encouraged Mamitha Baiju to believe in herself and continue moving forward.

The movie is directed by Venky Atluri and stars Suriya, Mamitha Baiju, Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon in important roles. The film is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya. Viswanath & Sons is scheduled to release on August 14. Suriya's emotional words at the event have already created interest among Telugu movie lovers.
