Can Telugu Star Heroes Follow Suriya and Dhanush’s Good Example?
While such clashes create excitement among fans, they also lead to competition between actors, producers and distributors.

While such clashes create excitement among fans, they also lead to competition between actors, producers and distributors. Sometimes, one film gets more screens while another faces difficulties in reaching audiences. However bigger question is whether our Telugu star heroes can avoid these clashes by adjusting their release dates.
Now Tamil stars Suriya and Dhanush have shown a positive example that surely deserves appreciation. Their recent decision has started an important discussion in the South Indian film industry. Can Telugu star heroes also follow this friendly approach.
Suriya's upcoming film Scene is scheduled to release on November 6, 2026, during the Diwali festival. Dhanush's upcoming film OM: Chapter 1 which also stars Mammootty had earlier undergone changes in its release schedule.
Dhanush reportedly adjusted the release plans to avoid competing with other major films, including Suriya's Scene. At the audio and trailer launch event, Suriya openly thanked Dhanush for this.
Suriya did not treat the release date adjustment as something ordinary. He publicly acknowledged his fellow actor.
Telugu cinema has many big stars with huge fan bases. Their films often target festival holidays because those dates bring more audiences to theatres. However, when two major films release together, both movies may face challenges in getting enough screens and attracting audiences.
If Telugu star heroes discuss release dates and support each other, the industry could benefit. One hero adjusting his film for another should not be seen as a loss. Instead, it can be a sign of maturity and respect. Mainly During Sankranthi or any festival season time it can be the best thing if one hero can sacrifice his date for other.
