Buzz: Telugu Fans Worrying About Suriya’s Film

Well, this Friday on August 14th, the upcoming film of hero Suriya, “Viswanath & Sons” is hitting cinemas. However, the makers of the film, including director Venky Atlur and producer Naga Vamsi, clarified to the Tamil audience that this is a pure Tamil film directed by a Telugu director and a Telugu producer, and that led to wrong signals in Telugu states now.

Apparently, Viswanath & Sons hasn’t seen any special promotions from Suriya or Mamitha Baiju in recent times. There is just 5 days to go, but Naga Vamsi opined in an interview that all these events are just a waste of money and won’t result in ticket sales. Maybe for that reason, or for the fact that they want to focus more on the Tamil industry, the makers aren’t pushing the film much in Telugu states.

Even if we look at the audience, not many are aware that the movie Viswanath and Sons is hitting cinemas. Though Suriya’s films are always known for extraordinary production and huge promotions, this time, it looks like Naga Vamsi has toned them all. The film is speedily wrapped up, but then, it’s not getting enough attention in Telugu states.

Well, everything depends on content and first day first show’s word of mouth now, and fans need not worry about the buzz now. Suriya’s Karuppu also held just one event in Telugu, and the film got amazing buzz on Day 1, and the rest is history. So hope Viswanath & Sons follows the same pattern.
