Popular actress Sushmita Sen who is well known for her performances in movies like 'Main Hoon Na' and others was a heartthrob of youth in the late 90s and early 2000s. She is still working on interesting projects and the former Miss Universe is quite active on social media as well.
She recently spoke about the importance of sex education for children on Rhea Chakraborthy's new podcast. She opened up about the talk she had with her mom during her younger days. She said, "My mum had these conversations even then, it was the early 90s, so when I was 14 or 15 I think. She started to talk to me about it and we had a very open conversation. So, I was comfortable with it."
She added, "The conversation I've had with my girls is very different from what my mum had with me. The act of sex I didn't have to explain, they were already PhDs… all of them are. My younger one's excellent in biology so she'll get into terms and I'm like okay can we just keep it very generic? We don't have to discuss the technicalities of it. You can explore yourself and your desires, but at the end of it, it should not make you feel bad."
