Taapsee Chooses Second Option, But What About Them?
“These are the days when they make films that instantly make money but are forgotten later, or they make movies that flop but get cult status over time and are called classics after 10 years.

I chose the second option. My filmography won't have many 100-crore films, but they will be remembered for years,” says Taapsee, while promoting her latest film Gandhari big time.
Apparently, Taapsee wants films that will be called classics later, but then, when a film fails when it is released, surely the producer is going to incur a lot of losses. Now, after 10 years, the actors/actresses have a lot of fame and name for being part of that so-called classic that was made 10 years ago; the producers of those films are already gone. So, at whose expense are these actors choosing cult films over instant-profit-making films is something to be understood.
Take the case of some of the cult Telugu films that were flops at the time of release, but are now being called classics. If we look at the producers of those films, they have either stopped making films or completely gone bankrupt. So actors might say that they will choose the option of starring in films that will become cult classics over time, but they should first think about the producers too.
