A much-talked-about crossover project that was supposed to bring together a leading Tamil Superstar and a young Tollywood director is reportedly facing serious issues. Rumours are popping up that the film has been put on hold, without any noise.

What made the project exciting was the combination itself. A major Telugu production house had reportedly backed the film, hoping to create a genuine pan-India entertainer. The director, who recently scored well with the sequel to a youthful blockbuster, was seen as one of the promising new-age filmmakers capable of handling the film. Initially, everything appeared to be moving smoothly. The project reportedly went on floors without any statements, and the first schedule began without much noise. However, things seem to have changed after the star hero had a look at the rushes of the shoot.

Industry talk suggests the actor was not fully convinced by the output. While the narration reportedly worked on paper, the execution on screen is said to have fallen short of expectations. Sources claim the hero felt there was a noticeable gap between the story he heard and the way it was being translated visually. Hence, the film was called off without any prior warning.
