#BiggBoss9 Telugu: Tanuja Amassed More Money Than Winner?

Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9 finally came to an end yesterday, with ‘commoner’ Kalyan Padala crowned as the coveted winner of the season. It’s popular TV serial actress Tanuja Puttaswamy who turned out to be the runner-up, and the likes of Jabardasth Emmanuel also made their mark. Here’s an interesting buzz being heard that the runner-up made more money than the winner.

While Tanuja finished as the runner-up, and though she didn’t lift the trophy, it’s being heard that she made more money than the winner. Though she was thought to be the title winner owing to her fandom, somehow, common people voted en masse for Kalyan Padala.

Reports are coming that Tanuja was paid a weekly remuneration of ₹2.8 lakh, and for a span of 15 weeks, she has clocked around ₹42 lakhs. On the other hand, winner Kalyan Padala reportedly took home around ₹50 lakhs, including the prize money, while the brand-new car will be a bonus.

At the initial stages, the likes of Bharani, Emmanuel and even Sanjana at one point turned out to be the crown favourites, but by the end of the show, all of them got out of the house, while Sanjana got eliminated in the last leg.

That said, usually after the Bigg Boss show, every contestant gets lots of attention from the viewers and audience, but then, most of them fail to capitalize on that. No winner or runner-up has so far made it big in Tollywood careers. Let’s see what happens to the Season 9 contestants.
