Telangana Government: No For Prabhas, Yes For Chiranjeevi?

The Telangana government has taken a pretty interesting decision in connection with elevated ticket prices. This can be understood from the fact that Chiranjeevi was readily approved elevated ticket prices while Prabhas struggled for the same.

The issue of government permission has unexpectedly put Prabhas and Chiranjeevi films in the spotlight, triggering strong discussion within the Telugu film industry. Prabhas’s film Raja Saab reportedly failed to receive the required GO from the Telangana government on time, which directly affected plans for paid premiere shows. This delay caused disappointment among distributors and exhibitors, especially considering the scale and expectations around the film.

In contrast, Chiranjeevi film Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu secured the GO smoothly and without visible hurdles. This difference in treatment immediately raised eyebrows and led to speculation across trade circles. Many believe the delay had little to do with official procedure and more to do with behind the scenes dynamics.

One version doing the rounds suggests that Prabhas does not engage in personal lobbying or political outreach, which may have worked against him. Another theory points to internal trade politics, with rival distribution interests possibly influencing the process. There is also talk that certain ministers delayed approvals citing law and order concerns at the last minute.

On the other side, Chiranjeevi film is said to have benefited from strong political connections, helping it move faster through official channels. Whether coincidence or bias, the episode has once again highlighted how star power alone may not be enough when government permissions come into play, leaving the industry debating fairness and transparency.
