Telugu Film Chamber Takes Action Against Accused Choreographer

The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) has launched an investigation into a se*xual harassment complaint filed against a prominent choreographer Jani Master in the industry. A female choreographer has accused the male choreographer of misconduct.

The TFCC's Sex*ual Harassment Redressal Panel is handling the case and has placed the accused's position as president in the Telugu Film & TV Dancers & Dance Directors Association on hold until the investigation is complete.

The TFCC encourages victims of se*xual harassment to come forward and report their experiences. They can do so through a complaint box, post, courier, phone, or email. The TFCC assures complete confidentiality for all complaints.

Jani Master, the acclaimed national award-winning choreographer renowned for his contributions to Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada cinema, is facing serious allegations of sexual harassment. A 21-year-old woman has accused him of misconduct, leading to a rape case being registered by the Cyberabad police.

According to the accuser, who has worked with Jani Master for several years, he se*xually harassed her during their travels for various events. She claims he threatened her with harm if she revealed the abuse. The case, initially filed at the Rayadurgam police station, has been transferred to the Narsingi Police Station in Rangareddy District, with SHO Harikrishna Reddy confirming its registration on Sunday night.

The victim alleges that Jani Master assaulted her multiple times, including during shoots in Mumbai and at her residence in Narsingi. She also accuses his wife of attacking her. Following a three-hour investigation at the victim’s home, the police have referred her to Bharosa Kendra for further support and medical examination.

In response to these allegations, the Janasena party has suspended Jani Master from all party activities until the investigation concludes. Additionally, the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) has put his position as president of the Telugu Film & TV Dancers & Dance Directors Association on hold. The TFCC’s Sexual Harassment Redressal Panel is overseeing the case and urges any other victims of sexual harassment to come forward and report their experiences through their various complaint channels, with assurances of complete confidentiality.
