For some strange reason, the Telugu film industry always find itself in the crossroads between the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments. At first, it was the frustration exhibited by the Telangana government under Revanth Reddy’s leadership where the industry was accused of not respecting the new administration enough.

This came right after previous chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan also showed similar frustration on the film industry.

And strangely enough, a similar scenario is repeating itself again, even under the new NDA government in Andhra Pradesh. This is despite the fact that the deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh is Pawan Kalyan, who happens to be an actor himself.

Incidentally, Kalyan himself noted that the film industry must change its ways and start to respect the people in the government. He quoted the fact that the celebrities did not meet chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, even out of courtesy after the formulation of the new government.

He was frustrated about the fact that the film industry showed no interest in meeting the new government representatives, even a year after the election. He softly reminded them of the kind of consequences that they had already observed under the previous Jagan government.

It appears that the film industry must make it appoint to change their ways and be in the good books of both Telugu state governments as that is what is being expected from them.

However, even after multiple offences and reprimands from the governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Tollywood is still lazy in this aspect, and this must change very soon.

It is a fact that the film industry and politics are completely different entities, but it appears that the political spectrum is expecting the good rewards of Telugu cinema and it must be noted that they are to be bound to the same.
