What's Happening With Tollywood? Too much action?

The Telugu film industry is generally not short of action beat in films and off screen as well. There is a lot happening in terms of logical and financial matters involving producers and actors. But this time there is substantial action happening with regard to the entire industry itself, and here is a look into the story.

This primarily originates from the theatre strike that was called later in May when it was communicated that theatres would shut down from June 1. This severely triggered Andhra Pradesh, deputy chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, who had Hari Hara Veera Mallu ready for release on June 12.

After Kalyan hit back at the industry and labelled them as people with no dignity or gratitude, things change quickly as the strike was called off.

This was followed by a series of press conferences by leading producers, like Dil Raju and Allu Aravind, who had contrasting opinions on this matter. The collective aim was to project that the intention was never to stop Pawan Kalyan’s film, but this is an act of desperation.

And on top of that, then came the Telangana film chamber of commerce as Suniel Naga quit his position as the President effective immediately yesterday. This was proceeded by a statement from the secretary that the top stars in the industry must be more proactive with their films.

There is simply too much happening with the internal affairs in the film industry now with several discourses and the topics of discussion coming up every single.

At the time when the film industry is already struggling due to the lack of interest from the common audience, such activities are only going to cause further problems.
