The top performer was Game Changer, which earned a massive 1.02 million dollars, making it the highest-grossing Indian premiere in the region this year. Right behind it was Kingdom, which collected 933 thousand dollars and impressed everyone with its strong debut.
Vijay Devarakonda is the new entry to the list as the earliest student made a splashing debut with Kingdom.
Hit 3 also had a great start with 891 thousand dollars, followed by Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which earned 802 thousand dollars despite tough competition. Daaku Maharaaj did well too, bringing in 737 thousand dollars. The much-anticipated Empuraan collected 735 thousand dollars, slightly below expectations but still impressive.
Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life made 645 thousand dollars, showing steady interest. Meanwhile, Mad Square and Kuberaa both earned 425 thousand dollars each. They may not be blockbuster hits, but they had a decent response considering their genre and reach. Lastly, Sankranthiki Vasthunam collected 381 thousand dollars, which is a fair start for a festive release.
These numbers show that Indian films continue to grow in popularity in the U.S., and audiences there are eager to watch new stories from India across different languages and styles. The overseas market remains a key space for Indian cinema.
