By: Tupaki Desk | 19 Aug 2025 11:05 AM ISTTelugu film industry is closely, observing the kind of debacle that is being mounted by War 2. NTR had a failed attempt at Bollywood cinema with this film, which is turning out to be a big blender at the box office.
Coming to the topic now, Yash Raj Films is getting ready for Dhoom 4, the next film in their popular action series. The franchise started in 2004 and became famous for its stylish villains and high-speed chases. Now, reports say the makers recently approached one of the biggest Telugu stars, who is enjoying success with a pan-India blockbuster. However, the actor politely said no to the offer.
This is not the first time the same star has turned down Bollywood projects. Earlier, he was also approached for a role in Shah Rukh Khans Jawan, but he refused. That role later went to Sanjay Dutt.
His decision shows how Telugu actors today no longer see Bollywood as the only way to gain nationwide fame. With massive successes like Baahubali, RRR, and Pushpa, Telugu cinema already has a strong reach across India.
Meanwhile, reports say the Dhoom 4 script is being finalized, with plans to start shooting in April 2026 and release in 2027.
There were also rumors about Ranbir Kapoor being considered for the lead, but nothing has been confirmed yet. The rejection by the Telugu star highlights how South Indian actors are now more selective and prefer projects that match their vision.
