Telugu Audience Showcase Their Big Heart Once Again!

Telugu movie lovers are a cut above the rest. They encourage good cinema no matter what the language is. They love movies and encourage quality content even if the actors are not familiar. There are many occasions where a good dubbing film got more love than a regular Telugu film. Every hero from other languages want to release his film in Telugu as they know that Telugu audience give huge collections once they love the movie.

While this has been going on for decades, it became more evident after the lockdown. Movies like 'KGF 2', 'Kantara', 'Love Today', '777 Charlie', 'Jailer', 'Jawan' and others did huge business in the Telugu states by collecting more than hundreds of crores. Many big directors like Mani Ratnam, Shankar and Murugadoss achieved star status in Tollywood and we all know the market Suriya, Rajnikanth and others have in the Telugu states. A movie like 'Rangam' celebrated 100 days function in Tirupati which showed the love Telugu viewers have towards good cinema.

While 'Boys' ended up in losses in Tamil, it was a safe venture in Telugu. People even watched the re-releases of Dhanush's films like '3' and 'Raghuvaran B.tech'. There are many such examples that showcase the big heart of the Telugu audience and how they are welcoming towards other regional cinema. No other fans come close to the Telugu movie lovers and a movie like 'Leo' was sold for 21 crores. But Telugu movies never run successfully in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. While Bunny's movies are an exemption in Kerala, not many big Telugu movies get the same love in other states which is quite sad.
