In recent times, a significant shift has occurred in the Telugu film industry with the emergence of early premiers, particularly in the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This innovative trend involves arranging paid premiers before a film's official release, providing an opportunity for local audiences to watch the movie beforehand.

Previously, the fate of movies relied heavily on overseas audience feedback and media reviews, which often shaped the perception and success of a film. However, this landscape has transformed as early premiers within the Telugu states have gained momentum. These premiers have become instrumental in gauging the response and generating buzz among local audiences.

The impact of these early screenings has been remarkable for several films. Even smaller productions like MAD received positive feedback from these paid premiers, while established star Nani's latest movie, Hi Nanna, also garnered excellent reviews from special screenings within closed circles.

The shift towards relying on local audience opinions has proven beneficial, especially if the film's content resonates positively with viewers. A noteworthy advantage of this trend is that it can significantly boost the prospects of movies with strong content.

However, there's a considerable risk involved as well. If the word of mouth from these paid premiers is negative, it can adversely affect a movie's fate. Instances like Naga Shaurya's Rangabali, which faced poor reviews from these premiers, suffered at the box office, struggling to garner even minimal openings.
