Distributors Who Troubled ‘Jana Nayagan’ Are Back

Though things are not cleared yet, there is huge clarity that Thalapathy Vijay’s last ever outing “Jana Nayagan” will get a massive release across Tamil Nadu. Earlier, when the hero hadn’t yet contested the election and hadn’t yet won, there are chances that he might do another film. But now that he has formed a government and sworn in as Chief Minister, surely he wouldn’t be doing another movie, at least while in power.

Guess what, many distributors who have earlier ditched Jana Nayagan and asked the production house KVN Productions to return their advances, are now said to be running after the producer again. As they know for sure that CBFC will now be issuing all the clearances to the film, their assumption that the film might instigate viewers politically doesn’t hold true now, as the elections are over. Whether Jana Nayagan is released or not, the Tamil Nadu voters elected Vijay to power, so there’s no point in halting the release now. Once the Censor issues a certificate, surely many other distributors who once troubled Jana Nagayan makers are likely to queue up to buy areas.

Also for the fact, the OTT platform that threatened to cut the OTT pricing of Jana Nayagan by 50% is now said to be offering a 200% hike for the movie’s digital streaming rights across all languages. Well, thanks to Vijay, his producer, who is going through severe pressure, would now be laughing all the way to the bank.
