Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay has taken a decision that is winning praise from movie lovers and the film industry. His government has allowed theatres to screen new Tamil movies for six shows a day during the first week of release. Early morning shows at 6 AM are also permitted.

However government has rejected the demand to increase ticket prices. This decision has become a major talking point on social media, with many people praising Vijay for thinking about the audience.

The Tamil Nadu government has made it easier for theatres to conduct more shows. Under the new rules, theatres can screen movies from 6 AM to 2:30 AM the next day. The permission applies to the first week of a film's release, including weekends, festivals and public holidays.

Earlier, theatres were generally allowed to screen four shows a day. The government later increased the number to five shows for new releases. Now, the permission for six shows has given theatre owners more flexibility and reduced the need to seek separate approvals.

The decision is expected to benefit big star films, which usually attract huge crowds during the first few days. More shows can help theatres manage audiences better and give fans more opportunities to watch their favourite stars.

But the most important decision is the rejection of the ticket price hike demand. Producers and theatre owners had requested the government to allow higher ticket prices for new releases. However, Vijay's government has not accepted this demand.

Meanwhile has also started a debate in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In Telugu states, ticket price hikes are often approved for big-budget films and star hero releases. While such decisions help producers recover their investments, audiences have to spend more money to watch movies. Also , till release date, there will be no clarity on this issue for most of the films.

So now the question is why Telugu state governments are thinking like Thalapathi Vijay and are not taking the firm decisions.
