Vijay’s Political Move Delays Jana Nayagan Telugu Release!

Sankranti and big movie clashes go hand in hand. Every year, Tollywood turns into a festival war zone, packed screens, poster fights, and fan wars. This time, it’s no different. Sankranti 2026 already looks overcrowded, with hardly any space left for latecomers.

The lineup is wild. Superstar Prabhas has The Raja Saab, Megastar Chiranjeevi brings Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, and Naveen Polishetty’s Anaganaga Oka Raju is joining the mix too. Down south, Tamil stars Vijay and Sivakarthikeyan are set to light up Pongal with Jana Nayagan and Parasakthi. Sounds like a dream festival for fans, but maybe not for theater owners trying to fit everyone in.

Now here’s the twist. Vijay’s Jana Nayagan might not get a big Telugu release this time. Usually, his films hit both markets strong, but word is that Vijay wants to go all in for Tamil Nadu. The movie is said to be special, his final one before he officially dives into politics and contests the state elections.

That focus shift changes things. The Telugu version could end up with a smaller or delayed release. A bit of a bummer for Telugu fans, but Vijay seems to be making his priorities clear. This time, all eyes, and energy, are staying home in Tamil Nadu.
