Sankranthi BO: Dil Raju Can’t Bring Thalapathy This Time?

For a long time now, Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay has been building a strong market for himself in the Telugu state with consecutive successful films. But he might not be able to get a substantial portion of the Telugu market this time around.

Previously, Dil Raju used to buy the Telugu rights of Thalapathy Vijay films, despite the heavy competition with other films that were releasing during the Sankranti season. Subsequently, Raju faced a lot of negativity from certain Press. Certain people felt he was prioritising Tamil films over Telugu films during the peak Sankranti season.

However, that might not be the case this time around as it is being established that Raju might not be in a position to acquire the Telugu rights of this Vijay film.

Firstly, several of Vijay’s recent films have not been performing well in the Telugu states. His market has saturated, and these films are not generating much profits. On top of that, there is going to be heavy competition between the Telugu films, this Sankranti season.

We already have the lives of Chiranjeevi, Prabhas, Sharwanand, Naveen Polishetty, and others arriving at the ticket counters. There might be a few more additions to this list as well.

Considering the heavy competition that is already in effect from multiple Telugu films, it is unlikely that Vijay might find a substantial number of theatres in the Telugu states this time around. Considering the situation, even Dil Raju might stay away from this film in order to avoid further complications.
