Official: Sukumar preferred DSP over Thaman!

It is already known that the makers of the second part of Pushpa had approached multiple music directors, including Thaman and Sam CS, apart from the conventional music Director Devi Sri Prasad for this film.

Incidentally, Thaman himself worked for nearly 10 days on the final music version of this film and delivered the same to the unit. However, this version was not used in the final copy as Director Sukumar had other ideas.

When asked you to comment on this topic, Thaman had a very interesting reaction as he said he had indeed worked on the film for 10 days, but his version was not finalised.

Thaman revealed that he had worked on three different versions for the audio track of the film, and this took him roughly 10 days and stated that getting into the world of Pushpa was indeed a tough job. However, Director Sukumar preferred other options, Thaman, and that is the reason why he opted for the musical work done by Devi Sri Prasad and Sam CS.

Despite not using the work that was composed by Thaman, he was paid handsomely by the makers according to the agreement.

But it must be interesting to note that Thaman who is famous for his background score, and original soundtrack could not impress Sukumar with his musical composition for Pushpa.
