Inside Talk: Devi Sri Prasad Upset With 1 Week Demand
This happened in the case of Pushpa 2 earlier, and now it is happening in the case of Ustad Bhagat Singh as well.
By: Shanaz B Syed | 5 March 2026 1:22 PM ISTThis happened in the case of Pushpa 2 earlier, and now it is happening in the case of Ustad Bhagat Singh as well. Both these films, produced by Tollywood’s ace production company, Mythri Movie Makers, have got Devi Sri Prasad on board as a chief composer, but in the last minute, opted for another composer to score the “remaining” background music. Insiders are revealing that in the latest case of Ustaad Bhagat Singh, there is this time related issue.
Already, director Harish Shankar mentioned in a couple of interviews that Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the background music for Ustad Bhagat Singh, and it is coming out very well. Even Devi Sri Prasad confirmed in a Bollywood interview that he is currently working on the Ustaad score, and he will be joining the sets of Yellaama once he wraps this up. However, the other day the movie producers officially announced that they are roping Thaman to the BGM.
A rumour is circulating that Mythri movie makers are considering advancing the release of the film by a week, as Toxic was originally scheduled to be released on March 19th, which sparked the issue. As Devi Sri Prasad literally prepared his mind for the March 26 release, he was actually expected to deliver the final copy by March 23. Now that he has to deliver the copy by March 15 itself, the music director got angry, and that's how Thaman was brought on board to wrap the rest of the movie’s background score.
Another thing is that whenever a film needs to get the background music done, SS Thaman is getting on board these days. But many are wondering how this composer, despite being busy with multiple big projects, finds time to do these works.
