Thandel Completes Break Even in Just 6 Days Worldwide

Naga Chaitanya’s latest film, Thandel, directed by Chandoo Mondeti and co-starring Sai Pallavi has turned out to be a massive success. Released on February 7, the film received highly positive reviews and set a new box office record for the actor who had been waiting for a hit for the past five years.

Within just Five days, Thandel has surpassed ₹80 crore worldwide making it the first ₹50 crore film in Naga Chaitanya’s career. The film is expected to reach the ₹100 crore milestone by the upcoming weekend. Director Chandoo Mondeti is also on track for his second consecutive ₹100 crore film after Karthikeya 2. What's interesting is that the film completed its break even in just 6 days worldwide.

The film follows Thandel Raju and his fellow fishermen who unknowingly enter Pakistani waters despite Satya’s warning. Before the trip, Raju and Satya plan to get married, but things take a drastic turn when he and his team are captured and imprisoned in Pakistan. The story beautifully portrays Bujji Thalli’s (Satya’s) unwavering love and determination making for an emotional and visually stunning experience.

Alongside Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, the film features Kalpalatha, Karunakaran, Prakash Belawadi, Mahesh Achanta and Parvateesam in key roles. Produced by Bunny Vasu and Allu Aravind under the Geetha Arts banner, the film boasts exceptional technical quality. Naveen Nooli handled the editing, Shamdat Sainudeen worked as the cinematographer, and Karthik Theeda co-wrote the script with Chandoo Mondeti. Devi Sri Prasad’s music and background score further elevate the emotional impact of the film.
