Thandel Box Office: Nearing Rs 100 crore

Akkineni Naga Chaitanya was in great need of commercial success at the box office and a lot depend on his latest film Thandel. The film has opened on a strong note in theatres and here is a look at the box office prospects of the same.

The film has completed exactly one week at the box office as yesterday marked its seventh day. In this context, we are hearing something interesting now.

The film is nearly at the 90 crore mark at the global box office. This is already the career, highest number for Chaitanya till date, and he must be happy with the same. But that is not all either. It grossed Rs 2.5 crore at the India wide box office on 7th day. It has also competed 1 million ticket sales on Book My Show till now.

If the film continues on, it’s good run at the box office over the course of this weekend and starts reasonably well over the weekend, then things are looking very promising. It might even touch the hundred crore gross mark by the time it completes theatrical.

There is no mainstream competition for this Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi film at the box office as the new releases have absolutely bombed in theatres. This will leave open ground for Thandel and there’s a good chance it might touch the 100 crore mark.

Allu Aravind and producer Bunny Vas had confidently stated that this film is going to be a mega blockbuster at the box office. This is reflecting in the box office, none of the film as it is looking to touch the ₹100 crore mark. This is something that Chaitanya badly needed at this point in time.
