These films connected strongly with young audiences and gave him a special identity as a new-age storyteller. However, after these successes, his journey was not always smooth, and he faced a few struggles in his career.
During the recent promotions of his film Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, Tharun Bhascker shared some interesting thoughts about the film industry. He spoke about the idea of insiders and outsiders in cinema. According to him, the belief that a few families control the industry is mostly something people imagine. He explained that cinema is simply a technical product — a high-quality video with sound that gets uploaded and distributed. He clearly said that if a person keeps thinking they are an outsider, they will remain one mentally.
He said "The idea that a particular family is ruling the industry and that you’re an outsider is just a notion you create in your head. Cinema is simply a 2K-resolution, 5.1 audio, uncompressed 2 to 3 hour file that gets uploaded to a server and distributed. That’s all it is - nothing more. If you think you’re an outsider, then you’ll remain outsider”
At the same time, Tharun Bhascker is also exploring acting. He recently appeared in Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi, a comedy-drama film. The movie stars Tharun Bhascker and Eesha Rebba in lead roles and is directed by A.R. Sanjeev. It is produced by SS Originals and Movie Verse Studios.
The film is a Telugu remake of Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey and tells a powerful husband-wife story. According to reports, the movie is expected to stream on Aha from the third week of February.
