Sony LIV Drops Riveting Trailer for �The Hunt: The Rajiv Gandhi Assassination Case�: Looks Like An Interesting Political Thriller

OTT platform Sony LIV has been on a roll this year with the releases of acclaimed shows like The Waking of a Nation, Black, White & Gray - Love Kills and Kankhajura. Now, it is returning with yet another interesting show, The Hunt - The Rajiv Gandhi Assassination Case.

Directed by renowned filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor, this series explores the investigation of the murder case of India's former Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi. The series is produced jointly by Applause Entertainment and Kukunoor Movies. It is set for a worldwide premiere on Sony LIV on July 4. Meanwhile, the makers have released the trailer today.

The Hunt tells the story of what happened after former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was killed. A Special Investigation Team (SIT), led by D.R. Kaarthikeyan, was given the job of finding the individuals behind the assassination. The show showcases how the SIT found the people behind the attack in just 90 days. It also explores a world full of spies, their stories, and the heavy price people pay for justice.

Applause Entertainment and Sony LIV delivered superhit shows like Scam 1992, Taanav and Scam 2003. Now, it looks like they are coming with another winner. Nagesh Kukunoor is also known for his acclaimed films, and this show might be another hit for him. On the whole, The Hunt - The Rajiv Gandhi Assassination Case seems like a promising outing.

The series features various talented actors like Amit Sial, Sahil Vaid, Bhagavathi Perumal, Danish Iqbal, Girish Sharma, Vidyut Garg, Shafeeq Mustafa, Anjana Balaji, B Sai Dinesh, Shruthy Jayan, Gouri Menon, and others. It is co-written by Rohit Banawalikar and Sriram Rajan.
