The Archies' new posters unveiled

Netflix and Archie Comics are teaming up to bring the world of Riverdale to without movie buffs in India. The Archies is a movie based on the comics, set in 1960s India, and it will feature live-action and musical elements. This Indian adaptation is being produced by Tiger Baby and Graphic India, with Zoya Akhtar directing the film.

Before the movie's release on December 7, Zoya Akhtar shared new character posters on Instagram. The cast of The Archies, along with writer and producer Reema Kagti and Netflix India's Vice-President of Content, Monika Shergill, recently appeared at the India Today Conclave Mumbai 2023. They discussed the project during a session titled "New Kids on the Block: Meet the Gen Z of Bollywood, aka The Archies Gang."

At the event, they revealed the character posters:

Khushi Kapoor plays Betty Cooper.

Suhana Khan portrays Veronica Lodge.

Vedang Raina is Reggie Mantle.

Yuvraj Menda takes on the role of Dilton Doiley.

Mihir Ahuja plays Jughead Jones.

Aditi 'Dot' Saigal plays Ethel Muggs.

Agastya Nanda plays Archie Andrews.

Zoya Akhtar took to Instagram later to share them.

Yuvraj Menda caption read, "The only date Dilton Doiley cares about, is when he needs to return books to the library. Meet Dilly and The Archies on 7th December, only on Netflix (sic)."

Vedang Raina's poster was read, "He was born ready but we call him Reggie. Meet Reg The Archies on 7th December, only on Netflix (sic)."

Mihir Ahuja's poster was captioned, "The only love triangle Jughead believes in is. Meet Juggy and The Archies on 7th December, only on Netflix (sic)."

Suhana Khan's poster was captioned, "Few things impress Veronica like herself. Meet Ronnie and The Archies on 7th December, only on Netflix!

Khushi Kapoor's poster's caption read, "Love has four letters and so does cake. Betty Cooper is all for both. Meet Betty and The Archies on 7th December, only on Netflix (sic)."

Aditi 'Dot' Saigal's poster was captioned "Your appointment has been booked for 7th December with Riverdale’s best hairdresser, Ethel Muggs. Meet Ethel and The Archies, only on Netflix (sic)."

Finally, Agastya Nanda's poster read, "Guitar in one hand His heart in the other. Archie Andrews is ready to make you swoon. Meet The Archies on 7th December, only on Netflix (sic)."

The Archies, directed by Zoya Akhtar, is a musical coming-of-age film. The Indian adaptation features this talented cast, bringing the beloved comic characters to life in a whole new way.
