A lot of movies are getting postponed which includes pan-Indian movies like 'Kalki 2898 AD' and 'Devara'. Nara Rohit's political drama 'Prathinidhi 2' was supposed to hit the screens on 25th April but it got postponed due to not being censored.
There is another interesting movie that got postponed due to the political fever. It is titled 'Sabarmati Report' and it features talented actors Vikrant Massey and Raashi Khanna playing lead roles. It was supposed to hit the screens on 3rd May but the makers decided to push it to 2nd August 2024. Vikrant Massey himself announced this news on social media.
'The Sabarmati Report' explores the controversial and sensitive subject of the tragic Sabarmati Express incident. Over two decades of secrecy led to a lot of speculation and it was in the news for more than a decade. Ranjan Chandel directed this movie and it was sent to censor certification as well but the censor board advised a revision of the release date which led to the makers fixing on 2nd August. Many expect this film to be more hard-hitting than 'Kashmir Files' and 'Kerala Story'.
