Thieves Robbed Filmmaker, Returned National Award

Renowned Tamil writer, director, and actor K. Manikandan recently faced a distressing situation when his house in Madurai was targeted by thieves. The miscreants made away with cash and jewellery worth lakhs, leaving the filmmaker and his family shaken.

However, amidst the unfortunate incident, there came a surprising turn of events. The thieves returned Manikandan's National Award medal and left an apology note in a carry bag outside his house. The note, expressing remorse, acknowledged the filmmaker's hard work and begged for forgiveness.

The National Award medal was awarded to Manikandan for his exceptional work in the film "Kadaisi Vivasayi," recognized as the best feature film. This unexpected gesture from the thieves not only brought relief to Manikandan and his family but also highlighted the impact of his artistic contributions.
