Thiruveer is back with Papam Prathap, and the trailer which has been released today promises a quirky village dramedy with a strong emotional pulse.

The story set in the earthy ambience of 1998 Godavari traces the unexpected journey of Prathap, a simple groom who enters marriage with dreams of love and laughter, only to face a rude shock when his wife walks out within a few days. What follows is a wave of village gossip, teasing, and awkward situations that push him into a mix of confusion, humour, and self-discovery.

Director SP Durga Naresh seems to have struck a lively balance between fun and emotion, shaping Prathap’s misadventures into a wholesome narrative. Thiruveer shines in the role, effortlessly shifting between naive excitement and heartfelt vulnerability. Ajay Ghosh brings an amusing yet impactful presence as his cautious father, while Payal Radhakrishna adds depth as the enigmatic wife.

On the technical front, Vishweshwar SV’s visuals capture the Godavari charm with authenticity, while Suresh Bobbili’s warm score enrich the film’s emotional beats. Produced by ETVWIN and Krishi Entertainments, the production design looks solid for the genre.
