It is an established fact that actors usually face a lot of criticism and hate on social media, which is not the right thing. And now, aTollywood actress has approached the Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police alleging that she has become a victim of online defamation and cyber harassment on social media. Authorities have registered a criminal case and launched an investigation into the matter.

According to the complaint, several vulgar and defamatory posts were circulated online using the actress’s name and social media identity. The actress alleged that the content contained abusive and objectionable remarks aimed at damaging her reputation and personal image in public.

Police officials confirmed that a case was registered based on her complaint and that cybercrime investigators have begun tracking the origin of the posts. Digital evidence, including social media links and account details, is being examined to identify those responsible for creating and sharing the defamatory content.

The actress reportedly told investigators that the posts caused severe mental stress and public embarrassment, as the offensive material spread rapidly across different social media platforms. She also stated that the campaign appeared to be deliberately aimed at tarnishing her image.

Officials revealed that the actress is also related to a politician from Andhra Pradesh, which has further drawn public attention to the issue. Once the individuals behind the posts are identified, strict legal action may be taken under relevant cybercrime and defamation laws.

The incident once again highlights the growing problem of online harassment targeting celebrities and public figures, prompting authorities to warn that misuse of social media for defamation could attract serious legal consequences.
