Tollywood: Who is best music composer of 2024?

The year 2024 is nearly done and dusted as we will be welcoming New Year in under hundred hours from now. In the meanwhile, let us have a look at the best music director of the year pertaining to superstar driven films that have released this year.

The year started with Mahesh Babu and Trivikram’s Guntur Kaaram. This film had its music composed by SS Thaman, and he did a pretty good job with it. The Kurchi Madathapetti, and Mawa Enthaina songs from the album stood out. His background score for the film was also pretty good.

The we have the crowd, favourite Anirudh Ravichander. He made a comeback of sorts amongst the Telugu audience with Devara. His work for the film has also been pretty. The film had a couple of winning songs and a loud background score. The Fear Song and Chuttamalle stood out.

Santhosh Narayanan worked on Kalki 2898 AD and this film had a middling album. Given the fact that this is not a commercial film, it did not have any commercial oriented songs. His background score for the film has been pretty impressive, needless to say.

The year closes out with Devi Sri Prasad delivering Pushpa 2. Again, he delivered a winning audio album for this film, though he had additional contributions to the background score in the form of Sam CS. But songs wise, Pushpa 2 had a pretty decent album.
