The Telugu film industry is growing bigger every year. We see big budgets, star heroes, pan India films and huge box office collections. But one important question remains. If so many movies are failing, how is Tollywood continuing to survive?

There is a common opinion that only a few films out of every many films become successful. This raises an important question about the industry's business model.

Tollywood needs more creative thinking, not just bigger budgets and star heroes. In today's world of AI and Instagram Reels, the audience tastes are changing quickly for sure. People have access to different kinds of content on their phones. They can watch films, short videos and web series from across the world. So, making an ordinary film with an old story is no longer enough to attract audiences.

It would be foolish to expect the Telugu film industry to grow if only 10 out of 100 directors think creatively. Every director mustunderstand the changing interests of audiences and come up with fresh ideas.

Creativity does not always mean making a film with a huge budget. A simple story told in an interesting way can connect with people better than an expensive film with a weak script.

Directors must experiment with new subjects, fresh screenplays, different storytelling methods and memorable characters. They should understand what today's audiences want instead of simply following existing trends.

Also one of the biggest problems in the Tollywood industry is surely rising cost of filmmaking. Star heroes charge huge fees while production and promotional expenses continue to increase.

Heroes, Must Consider This

When a film becomes a blockbuster then everyone celebrates. But when it fails, then producers and distributors may face heavy losses and not heroes who bagged a lot of remuneration. So it's also important that heroes must consider this and it would be better, if they adopt profit sharing.

Producers also earn money through OTT, satellite, audio and other rights. But these deals cannot guarantee profits for every film. OTT companies are also becoming careful about the content they purchase.

Instagram Reels and AI-powered content have changed how people consume entertainment. Audiences are exposed to new ideas every day and expect films to offer something exciting.

Simply having a famous hero or spending hundreds of crores does not guarantee success. A hook story, best screenplay and emotional connection are still important.

What Should Tollywood Do?

The industry should control many unnecessary expenses and should surely encourage directors to think differently. Producers should invest in good scripts rather than depending only on star power. Heroes and directors should also consider sharing financial risks wherever possible. Mainly profit sharing father than remuneration is best thing heroes can do. Small films with fresh ideas deserve better opportunities too.

Tollywood has a lot of talented actors, skilled technicians and also a larger audience worldwide. Its future can remain bright if filmmakers focus on quality and creativity.

The actual competition in the film industry is not between heroes or budgets. It is between ideas. In the current AI and Instagram Reels, every director must think creatively. Otherwise, the Telugu industry may continue making more films without making enough successful ones.

So, heroes, directors must take care of the above points to save producers as well as Telugu industry in future.
