The income tax department has started to come down heavily on the Telugu film industry. The IT officials are busy, searching the properties that belong to leading Telugu producers, including Dil Raju, Naveen and Ravi Shankar (Mythri Movie Makers) along with other producers and financiers. Even Director Sukumar under the radar as searches are underway at his house.

While these IT searches might be recorded as a regular process, there is a hidden lesson in this for the star heroes of Tollywood.

Write at the fundamental level, the leading starts in Tollywood, have the eco game to deal with and they have the tendency to push their producers to release astronomical posters with fabricated box office numbers.

While these fabricated numbers might look good on paper and good for publicity purposes, they can come back to haunt when the department makes note of the same. The same appears to be happening with these IT raids on leading Telugu producers now.

Adding to the peer pressure regarding fabricated posters, there is also said to be another demand from star heroes that is troubling producers.

Apparently, the leading stars of Tollywood are now demanding a hefty amount of money in cash. Nearly half of the remuneration is being paid in cash, which is adding additional burden on the producers.

While heroes are at safe, harbour is here as they get to transact in cash and also cut down on taxes, it is the producers who are coming under the radar as they are having to file the costs to the department.

These IT searches cannot be seen as isolated incidents and must serve as a lesson for Tollywood stars when it comes to dealing financial terms with producers. It is the producers who must be given the financial duties and transact on their own terms. This is the only way certain situations can be avoided henceforth.
