Many higher secondary examinations are held in March and that is one of the reasons why the family audience don’t tend to step out to watch films in March.
This is one of the reasons why several films do not opt to have theatrical release in March. However, this appears to have created a perfect opportunity for the ongoing re release trend in Tollywood. As of now, we have Official confirmations on several Telugu films which are heading for theatrical re release this March.
Firstly, it is Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, which has officially March 7 as the date that it will be hitting the theatres again. This is one of the most anticipated re releases in recent times.
Then, we have Yuganiki Okkadu which had locked March 14 as its release date. This is another fan, favourite film that is going for theatrical re release in the Telugu states. Then, Vyjayanathi Cinemas announced that their production venture Yevade Subramanyam is also preparing for re release on March 21.
Now the latest update is that, Prabhas’s Salaar is also heading for re release this March. Those those associated with the release of this film have now announced that it will be releasing in theatres on March 21. An official communication to this effect has been made a short while back.
While the conventional new releases of Tollywood have considerably slowed down in the month of March this year, it is interesting to note that several old classic films are now preparing to release again in theatres. It can officially be termed that March is turning out to be the month of re releases for Tollywood.
