Tollywood @ Sankranthi 2026: Who’s Coming?

The Sankranti season is usually very lucrative for the Telugu film industry as the festival audience turn up in big numbers to watch the films in theaters. This is the reason why several Telugu films prepare for release during the Sankranthi festival season.

The Sankranthi 2026 season is shaping up to be one of the most exciting lineups for Telugu cinema. As of now, several films are preparing to release during this festive period, which is always considered the biggest season for family audiences.

One of the main attractions will be Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, starring Megastar Chiranjeevi and directed by Anil Ravipudi. This film is strongly fixed for Sankranthi after Vishwambhara was pushed to summer 2026. Another film that has officially locked the season is Naveen Polishetty’s Anaganaga Oka Raju. The makers are confident that the film’s content will connect with audiences.

Adding to the festival competition is Tamil star Vijay’s final film Jana Nayagan, which is expected to have a big release in Telugu during Sankranthi. Ravi Teja’s new project with Kishore Tirumala, known as RT76, is also confirmed for the holiday release

There is also talk about Raja Saab shifting its release from December 5 to Sankranthi, though it is not fully confirmed yet. Meanwhile, Akhanda 2 has been moved to December, making space for other films during the festival.

Overall, Sankranthi 2026 is expected to feature at least four major releases, ensuring a grand clash at the box office.
