Proven Again? Only Tollywood can make winning sequels?

There is no other language film industry in India, that is as powerful and efficient as the Telugu film industry when it comes to making commercial films of the highest order. This has been established time and again.

Coming to a more relevant topic now, it appears that Tollywood is one of the very few industries which have mastered the art of making winning sequences at the box office. No other film industry is efficient and effective when it comes to delivering blockbuster sequels.

This started with the historic Baahubali sequel, which still stands to be one of the biggest blockbusters of all time in Indian cinema. Again, this standard was followed by the epic Pushpa 2 recently. The second part of Pushpa franchise was also a historic blockbuster.

Apart from these films, we have seen other sequels that have also worked. They’re Tilly Square, HIT 2, Mathu Vadalaraa, and many others. The kind of efficiency that Tollywood is maintaining when it comes to making sequel and franchise films is beyond ordinary.

When we compare this to other languages, things are not quite as smooth. This was recently observed in the case of Indian 2. And now it is getting established again with Malayalam film Empiraan which is the sequel of blockbuster Lucifer. This film has also not opened to adequate positive response.

The only exception in this case is obviously KGF, as the second part of this film was a historic blockbuster at the box office.
