Hot Summer: No Break For Telugu Superstars

The summer heat is absolutely brutal right now across the Telugu states. Temperatures are crossing unbearable levels in many regions, with people struggling even to step outside during afternoons. Even the Weather Department has warned people not to come, but inside film sets, Tollywood stars are pushing harder than ever without taking breaks.

In fact, this may be one of the busiest summers Telugu cinema has seen in recent years. Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli are currently shooting crucial portions and a song sequence for Varanasi amid intense heat conditions in various locations of Uttar Pradesh, including Varanasi and Prayagraj. Then comes Prabhas, who is sweating it out with Sandeep Reddy Vanga on the intense action sequences of the Spirit movie. Given Vanga’s filmmaking style, these schedules are reportedly becoming extremely physically exhausting.

At the same time, senior stars like Nagarjuna is busy working on his landmark 100th film near Shamshabad without slowing down schedules. Ravi Teja is shooting a massive and physically demanding Jathara episode for Irumudi, which insiders say involves extensive crowd portions and high-energy action blocks. Venkatesh and Trivikram Srinivas are also continuing non-stop work on #AK47 at the Aluminium Factory in Hyderabad.

Earlier, summers used to be relatively relaxed periods for many stars. But now, because of pan-India competition, massive budgets, OTT pressure and release planning issues, heroes simply cannot afford long gaps anymore. Hope their hard work turns into fruit on the silver screen.
