Tollywood BO: Summer 2026 Gets Messy
All this might lead to a messy release planning if the industry talk is anything to go by. Here goes the details.

All this might lead to a messy release planning if the industry talk is anything to go by. Here goes the details.
Apparently, Tollywood’s Summer will be opened by Ram Charan’s Peddi, which is hitting cinemas on March 27th, 2026. While the makers have double confirmed the release date, the industry folks are asking to shift the date owing to competition from Dhurandhar Part 2 and Yash’s Toxic. If that happens, Peddi will eat away into April dates. At the same time, based on Peddi, the makers of Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh want to plan their release, either on March 27th or April 30th.
Now that the ticket hikes in Telangana are going to be a difficult affair, as the High Court already struck down the memo given by the Telangana government, some big films might not hit cinemas until this issue is clarified. Only if that clarity comes, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara might decide on the Summer release date for the movie. With Peddi, Toxic, Ustaad and Vishwambhara taking the major dates, now comes the question of other heroes in the race.
Adivi Sesh’s Dacoit, Naga Chaitanya’s Vrusha Karma, Sai Dharma Tej’s Sambarala Yetigattu, Akhil’s Lenin, Bellamkonda Srinivas’ Tyson Naidu are getting ready to say hello in Summer, but that depends on big films and their dates. So with a few misses and a few postponements, surely Summer will get messier than expected.
