Big films usually release during this time because families and young audiences visit theatres in large numbers. However, in recent years, the industry has not used this golden period properly. The summer of 2026 is a clear example. There were no major star releases, and even small films failed to impress the audience. Because of poor planning and lack of strong content, the box office looked dull and quiet.
But things are expected to change in a big way in 2027. Many top Tollywood stars are now preparing strong projects with proper planning. This has created huge excitement among movie lovers. The summer of 2027 is already looking like one of the biggest seasons in Tollywood history.
One of the most awaited films is *Spirit*, starring Prabhas and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. This film is planned for release on March 5, 2027. Fans have high expectations from this powerful combination, and it is expected to give a strong start to the summer box office.
Another big project is *Varanasi*, directed by S. S. Rajamouli and starring Mahesh Babu. The film is scheduled to release on April 7, 2027. Usually, Rajamouli’s films get delayed, but this time he is said to be following a strict schedule. This has increased confidence among fans and trade experts.
The excitement does not stop there. A powerful film featuring Jr. NTR and directed by Prashanth Neel is set to release on June 11, 2027. In addition, Allu Arjun’s film *Raaka* is also likely to join the summer race. Though it was first planned for Sankranti, it may shift to summer due to shooting delays.
With stars like Prabhas, Mahesh Babu, Jr. NTR, and Allu Arjun competing in the same season, the summer of 2027 is expected to be full of energy and entertainment. Trade experts believe this could bring back the lost glory of Tollywood and turn theatres into celebration zones once again.
