In a surprising turn of wealth rankings, many veteran Telugu stars have climbed into the Top 10 richest actors list of India. The 2025 wealth report published by The Times of India has surprisingly positioned Akkineni Nagarjuna as the second-richest actor in India.

The report claims that Shah Rukh Khan is the leading actor in terms of wealth in India with an estimated net worth of ₹12,931 crores. Then comes Nagarjuna, whose wealth is estimated at ₹5000 crores. While this is followed by Salman Khan (₹3225 Cr), Hrithik Roshan (₹3100 Cr), Akshay Kumar (₹2250 Cr), and Aamir Khan (₹1860 Cr), another Telugu star, Chiranjeevi, ranks at the 7th position with ₹1750 crore net worth, followed by Amitabh Bachchan, Venkatesh, and Ram Charan closely.

Back then, when Forbes Group published similar wealth rankings, Nagarjuna had publicly dismissed the figures as misleading, pointing out that such estimates often rely on incomplete or inaccurate data about a celebrity’s true earnings and assets. At that time, he stressed that net worth projections can be speculative and do not always reflect actual financial particulars.

Despite such remarks by Nagarjuna, now the actor placed at No.2 position in the wealth rankings is not only surprising, but some feel that the data might actually be true.
