Content-Rich Small Films Dominating Star Hero Films!

Everyone expected Independence weekend to be a mass feast. Everyone's focus was on 'Double Ismart' and 'Mr Bachchan'. They are expected to create a storm at the box office. But it is 'Aay' which is dominating these two at the box office.

Many thought that Geetha Arts team is taking a huge risk by going against two big flicks and people predicted that it would prove costly. But both 'Double Ismart' and 'Mr Bachchan' got negative talk and managed to good numbers only during the weekend. The collections faded as the weekdays began while the numbers of 'Aay' kept on raising steadily.

It was released in limited screens but the screens and shows got increased. It is running with good occupancy during the weekdays as well. Not just 'Aay' but 'Committee Kurrollu' is going strong as well. The movie got a positive talk and the collections grew steadily. There are no star heroes in these films and they did not have a lot of buzz prior to the release.

It is the content that attracted the audience. It is the talent of the actors and technicians that managed to impress the audience. The viewers are also not looking at the star power and are giving preference to content. They are even ready to go to theatres to watch good content. The results of these two films proved that it is content that is more important than the star power. Hope it becomes a big lesson to filmmakers.
