Favourable Friday Release…Tollywood Fails To Capitalise Once Again!
With all the movie units deciding to push the release dates further, the favourable Friday release went in vain.
By: Tupaki Desk | 16 May 2024 10:52 AM GMTWhile the owners decided to shut down the single screen theatre across Telangana for ten days, even the movie releases are getting postponed. Vishwak Sen's 'Gangs Of Godavari' should have released on 17th May but it got delayed. It is arriving on 31st May. 'Raju Yadav' from Getup Sreenu is the only notable release this weekend. With all the movie units deciding to push the release dates further, the favourable Friday release went in vain.
There are four movies releasing this Friday. 'Darshini', 'Nata Ratnalu', 'Akkada Vaaru Unnaru' and Tamil dubbing film 'Miral' are arriving on the big screens. None of the movies carry good buzz around them and people don't even have any idea regarding these flicks. Due to their budget limitations, they did not promote the film heavily which is why the audience failed to notice them. Unless the talk of these films turn out to be magnificent, they cannot get decent collections. With no other option left, 'Aparichitudu' re-release is getting more number of screens. With the re-release trend slowly fading away, we need to see how the audience embrace Vikram's blockbuster flick in theatres once again.
There are a few who claim that the lack of understanding between the producers is leading to such scenarios. They are questioning the reason for four notable releases clashing on May 31st. The situation would have been better if at least two of them arrived earlier. There is truth in these statements as the elections are done and youth are looking for entertainment during summer holidays. It is the right time to release films but the makers are ignoring this favourable release dates for some reason.
