Whenever there is a hit formula, a lot of filmmakers try to run behind it. Only some of them manage to get the right formula and succeed while others fail trying to replicate it. As we know, a lot of filmmakers are keen on making sequels and second parts these days. A few months later, making movies on black magic became a trend. Now, the makers are hellbent on coming up with films that are either about gods or ghosts.

In recent times we have seen 'Akhanda' becoming a blockbuster. Boyapati and Balayya have plans to make 'Akhanda 2' as well. We all know that it revolves around lord Shiva. 'Karthikeya 2' is all about lord Krishna and 'Hanu-Man' is highly influenced by Ramayan and the title itself suggests that Hanuman plays a key role in the movie. Also, Prasanth Varma already announced 'Jai Hanuman' as its continuation.

Coming to ghosts, we have witnessed Sai Dharam Tej's 'Virupaksha' dealing with the subject of Chetabadi aka black magic. Movies like 'Maa Oori Polimera 1 & 2', 'Mangalavaram' and the recent 'Ooru Peru Bhairavakona' have elements of horror, ghosts and black magic in them. Now, there are a few more movies arriving with either god or ghosts as their backdrop.

On 11th April, 'Geethanjali Malli Vachindi' is going to hit the screens and we all know that it is a horror comedy. Sree Vishnu's 'Om Bheem Bush' also has an element of horror in it. Ghosts play a key role in both these movies. Ashish Reddy and Vaishnavi Chaitanya's 'Love Me – If You Dare' is about a love story between a man and a ghost.

Also, there is a touch of god in Gopichand's upcoming action flick 'Bhimaa' which is arriving on 8th March. As we all know, Prabhas and Nag Ashwin's high-budget film 'Kalki 2898 AD' is all set to hit the screens on May 9th and it is a science fiction time traveling film that starts from the time of Mahabharat and goes on till 2898 AD. We see elements like Hanuman locked in the teaser and sources say that Prabhas will be seen as an avatar of Vishnu and the savior of the masses in the movie.
