Sequels Getting More Demand In Tollywood!

Sequels used to be so scary to producers at one point in time. They were never that successful as they used to give openings but not the results. The expectations used to be high on sequels which ultimately led to huge disappointment. Movies like 'Arya 2', 'Money Money', 'Mantra 2', 'Kick 2', 'Manmadhudu 2' and others are huge examples of it. Bollywood had some hit franchises but not in Tollywood. But the demand for sequels increased rapidly due to their success in recent times.

Starting from 'Baahubali 2' to the recent 'Tillu Sqaure', the sequels are becoming highly successful and Tollywood is now running behind this formula. We all know that 'Baahubali 2' and 'KGF 2' are not sequels. There are continuations of the same story which were paused at the end of the first part. But they were highly successful and 'Karthikeya 2' became a blockbuster. We have seen 'HIT 1' and 'HIT 2' becoming hits and 'HIT 3' is expected to be made.

Venkatesh scored a hit with 'Drushyam 2' and he made 'F3' as well. There is a chance for 'F4' according to reports. 'DJ Tillu' became successful and 'Tillu Square' is becoming even bigger now with its collections. Apart from that, there is 'Pushpa 2' arriving on Independence Day and there is a chance for a third part as well. 'Salaar 2' should also be made by Prasanth Neel and Prabhas. There is a talk about 'Karthikeya 3', 'Akhanda 2' and others as well. 'Kantara 2' is in the making while 'Odela 2' is also arriving.

Rajamouli confirmed that there is a second part for 'RRR' and even Sreenu Vaitla said that he wants to make 'Venky 2'. It is necessary to get everything right for a sequel. It is very easy as well as tough to make a sequel. Let us wait and see how many of these become successful.
