Malayalam star Tovino Thomas has reportedly dropped out of the high-profile Telugu production NTR Neel, directed by Prashanth Neel, in what is being described as a voluntary exit. The Malayali actor is said to have stepped away from the project on his own accord, citing scheduling conflicts and the demanding nature of big-budget Telugu film productions.

Sources close to the development indicate that Tovino took a subtle dig at the working culture within Tollywood, pointing to the prolonged shoot durations and heavy call sheet commitments that major stars in the Telugu Film Industry typically demand.

The Malayalam actor, known for his disciplined and efficient working style, is believed to have found it increasingly difficult to align his packed Malayalam project lineup with the open-ended schedules that large Telugu productions often operate on.

NTR Neel, one of the most anticipated pan-India projects currently in production, stars Jr NTR in the lead role under the direction of KGF fame Prashanth Neel. The film has been generating enormous buzz across the country.
