Toxic is one of the big budget film from South Indian cinema as it has KGF Hero Yash in the lead role. The film is preparing for its release on March 19, and the promotional campaign is in full swing for the same.

The upcoming film Toxic, starring Yash, is currently one of the most talked about projects in the trade circle. However, more than the content, it is the business numbers that are creating shock and debate.

As per strong social media claims, the film’s theatrical rights are reportedly valued at ₹120 crore in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, ₹105 crore in Overseas, and ₹63 crore in Tamil Nadu.

If we add just these three markets, the total itself crosses ₹288 crore. To recover this amount and become profitable, the film would need to gross more than ₹600 crore from these territories alone.

That is a massive number by any standard. Even big star films struggle to cross such figures consistently. Industry observers feel that such projections look highly unrealistic at this stage. Many believe these numbers are being exaggerated to create hype and build a larger than life image around the film.

Trade analysts also point out that social media often amplifies unverified figures. While aggressive promotion is common before release, experienced viewers understand that not every circulated number reflects reality.

At the end of the day, box office performance depends on content and audience response. Hype can create openings, but only strong word of mouth can sustain collections over time.
